It is used to treat <br />ground water from adjacent wells. <br />The purpose of the permit is to treat low pH material generated from the cleaning of the <br />air stripper. The procedure is to dissolve calcium deposits which accumulate in the air <br />stripper from water hardness and will affect the performance of the air stripper.
