LI
November 20, 2001
52914
\Mr. Ron Kenyon
Delta Tech Smice, Inc.
Page 3
Harding ESE conducted a visual integrity assessment of fourteen (14) TTU tanks. Nine of these tanks
have a total capacity of 6,500 gallons and five of the tanks have a capacity of 4,500 gallons.
A summary of the I`CU's inspected is detailed below:
Tank Number Serial Number In Service Date Size/Double Containment
DC I01
NN 1092B/DC 101 C93-01036
3/15192
6500 / Yes
DC 103
NUM1092/DCC9300569
3/15/92
6500 / Yes
DC 112
B 1402921DC 1 12C 170892 B
6/1 -5/92
65001 Yes
DC 131
8992A/8991 C
9/01/99
6500/ Yes
DC 132
8992A/8992C
9/01/99
6500 / Yes
DC 133
8992A/8993C
9/0 U99
6500/ Yes
DC 134
8992A/8994C
9/0 U99
6500/ Yes
DC 135
8992A/8995C
9/01/99
6500 / Yes
DC 136
8992A/8996C
9/01/99
6.500 / Yes
DC4503
104EI2959B/05Ki2956A
12/95
4500/ Yes
DC4504
104E12955B/05K12952A
12195
4500 / Yes
DC4505
104E12954B/05K1195IA
12/95
4500 / Yes
DC4506
104E12953B/05K1295IA
12/95
45001 Yes
DC4507
104E12959B/05KI1953A
12/95
4500/Yes
The TTU and components appear to have been designed and constructed in accordance with applicable
standards and are suitable for use with a wide variety of chemicals at low temperatures. All tanks and
piping in direct contact are either constructed of polyethylene, stainless steel, or carbon steel lined with
hypalon.
Secondary containment for the TTU's consists of a 10 -inch high perimeter berm around the TTU and a
continuous polyethylene liner. The liner appears to be thick enough to resist punctures under normal
use. The containment basin is constructed to allow for 110% of the capacity of the largest tank located
in it. Typical construction details of the tank are attached.
Based upon Harding ESE's review of the specifications provided by the Central California Container
klanufacturing Company regarding the polyethylene tank- and inspection of the DTX -25 TTU systems,
the foundation, structural support, seams and connections have sufficient structural strength for use as a
wastewater holding tank, is acceptable for transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that
the tank is unlikely to collapse, rupture or fail.
Hardin- ESE
;-V
