0 0
• The only constituent of concern identified with the WBP bed ash is copper which has a
mean concentration about 22 percent of the TTLC and slightly above the STLC
concentration (26 mg/L vs. 25 mg/L). The geometric mean concentrations of all other
constituents are well below the TTLC and STLC thresholds.
Based on this information, there is no apparent reason to analyze any metal constituent other
than copper and perhaps hexavalent chromium (Cr+6) each semiannual leachate monitoring
round and each quarterly groundwater monitoring event. We therefore recommend that the
Order be revised to incorporate pH, copper, and hexavalent chromium semi-annually for
leachate and quarterly for groundwater. Under this recommendation, the other dissolved
inorganics and metals included in Table VIII of the MRP will continue to be analyzed as part of
the five-year constituents of concern monitoring program. We look forward to your response
to this recommendation. In the meantime, Forward Landfill will collect the samples as required
by the June 24, 2017 Order.
Please contact the undersigned at (415) 699-8073 or Joe Lipka of Forward at (209) 235-9622 if
you have any questions or need additional information.
Very truly yours,
Geo-Logic Associates
ZZ_
Richard A.
