El Pinal Drive, Stockton, California <br /> Ms. Luces, <br /> Network Environmental Systems (NES) is submitting the attached Return to Compliance <br /> Certification on behalf of the Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) located at 1932 N. El Pinal <br /> Drive in Stockton. The facility received a Notice To Comply during an inspection on May 1, 2006 <br /> with a return to compliance deadline of June 1, 2006. The following statements and attached <br /> documents address the following items listed on the Notice to Comply. <br /> Item Numbers 19 and 20; The blue drum of oil and used oil tank, both of which were found to have <br /> no accumulation start date, were emptied or disposed of under consolidated manifest on May 18, <br /> 2006. (service order number 91480). NES conducted annual hazardous waste compliance training <br /> for SUSD mechanics,and shop personnel on May 25, 2006. Labeling requirements, especially the <br /> importance of the accumulation start date requirements was emphasized during this training session. <br /> Item Number 21; During the annual hazardous waste training conducted on May 25, 2006,NES <br /> reinforced the proper container closure requirements for hazardous waste. Employees were <br /> instruct-ed to ma-intain closure on all! containers aocutnul.atl-119 11N1-ardouss %;,;as+Lc "-+L all'.ti.mes CXpect <br /> when they are adding to or removing the contents. Employees were also informed that the container <br /> should be open only if they are actively attending to the transfer or dispensing activity. <br /> Item Number 33; The 55-gallon drum of drained used oil filters and the used oil filters that were <br /> being held in the 5-gallon pail were removed under consolidated manifest on May 3, 2006. (service <br /> order number 91223). The 5-gallon pail used to temporarily hold the used oil filters until they are <br /> transferred to the lube room for final draining and crushing was relabeled with a start date <br /> designation of"Empty Daily". Employees use the pail as a temporary containment device to limit <br /> leaks and spills.
