(NES) is providing the attached Return to <br /> Compliance Certification and associated paperwork on behalf of the Stockton Unified <br /> School District (SUSD) to address the items identified on Notice to Comply dated April <br /> 28, 2005. <br /> NES prepared and presented a hazardous waste compliance training program for SUSD <br /> that was administered to vehicle mechanics,maintenance staff, painters, supervisors and <br /> the hazardous material technician on May 26, 2005. Attached to this statement you will <br /> find copies of Employee Records of Training for the twenty four(24) employees who <br /> participated in the four hour training program. Also attached is a copy of the power point <br /> presentation used to administer the program to SUSD employees. A copy of the full <br /> trainingmanual is available at the facility for review or can be provided to our office <br /> Y p Y <br /> upon request. Initial training will be provided to new employees within six months of <br /> hiring or on an as needed basis. Those employees who participated in the training will <br /> also receive a two hour annual refresher training course to review the requirements <br /> associated with their job functions and update them on any newly implemented <br /> requirements. <br /> NES has prepared a Contingency Plan for the SUSD facility. A copy of this Contingency <br /> Plan is being provided to your office as requested. The employee training program <br /> described above included site specific training on SUSD's Contingency Plan and the <br /> employees role in responding an emergency incident. A copy of this Contingency Plan is <br /> also being provided to the local Office of Emergency Services, The Stockton Fire <br /> Department, and Ecology Control Industries (spill cleanup contractor). <br /> NES finds no evidence that SUSD should be required to complete and submit a biennial <br /> report as indicated on the Notice to Comply.
