Three 55-gallon drums in the plumber storage and one 55-gallon poly drum in the steam cleaning <br /> area were empty and not labeled empty with the date they were emptied. Containers larger than five <br /> gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and <br /> managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this <br /> section. <br /> 60 & 63. The facility has four parts washers. Copies of parts washer hazardous waste disposal records <br /> for 2009 and 2008 were not found on site. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all <br /> manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting <br /> procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy <br /> of all manifests and receipts for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the <br /> EHD by October 29, 2010. <br /> Summary of Violations: 30, 60, 63 - all minor. <br /> Notes <br /> 1. Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form with a statement of how <br /> each violation was corrected, including supporting documentation, by October 29, 2010. <br /> 2. The facility generated 9.2 tons of hazardous waste in 2009. The facility permit will be updated to <br /> reflect this tonnage. <br /> 3. The facility started to use an aerosol can puncture device several months ago. <br /> 4. The facility has a steam cleaner with a three part clarifier. The clarifier has a drain which is capped <br /> off. The steam cleaner is used for cleaning oily parts including engines. <br /> 5. The facility generates the following waste streams: paint, oil filters, oil, parts washer waste, antifreeze, <br /> steam cleaner clarifier waste, aerosol cans, oily solids, batteries. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($122). <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY T1W AT EHIVS CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Insp or: Rece' By: Title: <br /> EHD - 2 03 Rev 08/10/10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
