Employees can obtain the plan by requesting a copy from their store manager or from the business development team. Emergency Equipment and Procedures It is our policy to operate our facility in a safe and responsible manner. We continually review our operations to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or an accidental release of a hazardous waste. Our facility's fire control equipment consists of fire extinguisher located throughout the facility. Our facility's spill control equipment consists of spill control kit. We also regularly test and maintain as necessary our fire control equipment and spill control equipment to ensure that it will function properly in an emergency. At our facility, we ensure that at all times our emergency equipment is readily accessible to our employees during operations involving hazardous waste. We have established procedures at our facility to ensure that adequate aisle space is maintained to allow for the unobstructed movement of personnel and the transporting of equipment during an emergency. The following are the responsibilities of the emergency coordinator in the event of an emergency caused by a hazardous waste spill or discharge: • Deploy the spill kit as necessary • Alert the proper authorities (When necessary) In addition, the emergency coordinator has the following responsibilities after determining that the facility has had a release, fire or explosion that threatens human health or the environment outside the facility. Alert employees of the situation, direct them to the predetermined meeting place, account for all employees, contact management per the emergency contact list.
