Employees can obtain the plan by requesting a copy from their <br /> store manager or from the business development team. <br /> Emergency Equipment and Procedures <br /> It is our policy to operate our facility in a safe and responsible manner. We continually <br /> review our operations to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or an accidental <br /> release of a hazardous waste. <br /> Our facility's fire control equipment consists of fire extinguisher located throughout the <br /> facility. Our facility's spill control equipment consists of spill control kit. <br /> We also regularly test and maintain as necessary our fire control equipment and spill <br /> control equipment to ensure that it will function properly in an emergency. <br /> At our facility, we ensure that at all times our emergency equipment is readily accessible <br /> to our employees during operations involving hazardous waste. <br /> We have established procedures at our facility to ensure that adequate aisle space is <br /> maintained to allow for the unobstructed movement of personnel and the transporting of <br /> equipment during an emergency. <br /> The following are the responsibilities of the emergency coordinator in the event of an <br /> emergency caused by a hazardous waste spill or discharge: <br /> • Deploy the spill kit as necessary <br /> • Alert the proper authorities (When necessary) <br /> In addition, the emergency coordinator has the following responsibilities after <br /> determining that the facility has had a release, fire or explosion that threatens human <br /> health or the environment outside the facility. Alert employees of the situation, direct <br /> them to the predetermined meeting place, account for all employees, contact <br /> management per the emergency contact list. <br />
