PLACE OF:REFUGE AND EVACUATION ROUTES <br /> No places of refuge have been designated at any Caltrans Maintenance Facility. Every facility as s <br /> a whole and each building at every facility are required to have approved evacuation plan and <br /> evacuation routes posted. If it is necessary to evacuate>a building located at a Caltrans facility or <br /> the facility itself, an evacuation can be ordered by the facility supervisor or her/his superior(s). <br /> If a building evacuation is ordered, the person ordering the evacuation must designate a safe <br /> place of refuge. If a facility evacuation is ordered, all'evacuated personnel shall assemble in the <br /> immediate vicinity of the facility's main entrance. <br /> CRITIQUE <br /> State regulations require that the Incident Commander conduct a critique after completion of an <br /> emergency response. If a Caltrans employee participates in an emergency response in the <br /> capacity of Incident Commander she/he will inform the District 10 Hazardous Material Manager <br /> immediately of the date and time of the critique. The Caltrans employee will conduct the <br /> required critique. <br /> TRAINING <br /> Emergency Response Personnel shall be provided the training detailed in the Maintenance <br /> Division Hazardous Material Training Schedule, which is reviewed annually. This annual <br /> training shall be at the level of their designated response capabilities. a <br /> MANAGING PUBLIC MEDIA PERSONNEL <br /> All requests for information concerning a hazardous material spill shall be referred to the <br /> Incident Commander or the Caltrans District 10 Public Information Officer(s). <br /> PLAN REVISION <br /> The District 10 Hazardous Spill Contingency Plan shall be reviewed annually and updated as <br /> needed to reflect changes in personnel, infonnation, regulations, local requirements, <br /> _Departmental and District 10 policy. <br /> 12 <br />
