The facility has a wash bay with a sump and a clarifier. There is a water treatment system that is attached to the wash bay where filters take out particulates. The water then goes through the clarifier. The manger was not sure if the wastes associated with the wash bay or the clarifier were hazardous or not. No disposal records were observed during the inspection. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for the wash bay and clarifier wastes, and manage them according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. This is a minor violation.
