Swift Transportation, Lathrop, CA <br />Waste Oil Tank Assessment Report <br />Hazardous Waste Tank Assessment Report and Worksheet <br />Title 22 CCR, 66265.192 (a) <br />Foundation, structural support, seams, connections and pressure controls (if applicable) are adequately <br />designed and that the tank system has sufficient structural strength, compatibility with the waste(s) to be <br />transferred, stored or treated, and corrosion protection so that it will not collapse rupture or fail. <br />Comments: <br />The PE confirms that the tank system and all of its related components meet the criteria outlined in the <br />Title 22 CCR, 66265.192 (a). <br />(a)(1) --Design standards according to which the tanks are or will be constructed. <br />Comments: The tank manufactured by Brown -Minneapolis Tank, Provo, Utah, 3000 -gallon steel tank, <br />and was constructed to meet UL -142 design standards. Tank cut sheet is attached. <br />(a)(2) --Hazardous waste characteristics of the waste(s) that have been or will be handled. <br />Comments: <br />Used Oil (NFPA Code — Health (1), Fire (1), Reactivity (0), Specific Hazard (None)) <br />(a)(3) --(If applicable) Determination by a corrosion expert of: <br />A) Factors affecting the potential for corrosion, including but not limited to: <br />1. Soil moisture content <br />2. Soil pH <br />3. Soil sulfides level <br />4. Soil resistivity <br />5. Structure to soil potential <br />6. Influence of nearby underground metal structures <br />7. Stray electric current <br />8. Existing corrosion -protection measures <br />And <br />B) Type and degree of external corrosion that are needed consisting of one or more of the <br />following: <br />1. Corrosion -resistant materials (i.e. fiberglass) <br />2. Corrosion -resistant coating with cathodic protection <br />3. Electrical isolation devices <br />Comments: <br />Factory Paint for corrosion protection. <br />(a)(4)-- Not Applicable if this is an above ground tank system. <br />Comments: <br />N/A <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
