Mr. Mike Fouts stated is was from foaming of the soap. <br /> -Liquid staining was observed under a tote of degreaser containing sodium hydroxide located north of the shop. A drip <br /> was observed on the drain spout. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous <br /> waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean stains, <br /> take all necessary precautions to prevent releases, and manage any wastes generated according to Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was <br /> managed. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> A 55 gallon black steel drum of metal fines was observed with an accumulation start date of 1/22/18. Facilities who <br /> generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. Immediately <br /> contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest <br /> to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by October 18, 2018. <br /> Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
