Facility begin operation May 2011. <br />Minor/ Notice to Comply violation #605, 133 <br />605. One blue 55 gallon metal drum is storing waste absorbent without any hazardous waste label. All <br />hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information, <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste", 2. name and address of generator, <br />3. hazardous properties (toxic, flammable, ignitable, or corrosive) <br />4. physical state (solid or liquid) , 5. composition (contents), 6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all <br />the required information. <br />- Corrected on site. Drum properly labeled. <br />133. A tank assessment was not available on site for the outdoor 500 gallon metal used oil tank. A <br />hazardous waste generator shall obtain and keep on site a written assessment for each hazardous <br />waste tank at the facility. This assessment shall be reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, <br />professional engineer, registered in California, and shall attest to the tank system's integrity. The <br />assessment shall determine that the tank system is adequately designed and has sufficient structural <br />strength and compatibility with the waste stored, and shall be written in accordance with Title 22 <br />regulations. Immediately obtain written tank assessments for the used oil tanks at this facility in <br />accordance with Title 22 regulations, maintain a copy on site at the facility, and submit a copy of the <br />certified assessment to the EHD. Template copy provided <br />Submit to SJC EHD within 30 days (11/7/11): <br />1. one copy of the completed "Return to Compliance Certification" form <br />2. a written corrective action statement when the hazardous waste tank assessment will be completed <br />Notes: <br />- In 2010 year (May - Sept), facility generated approximately 2600 gallons (10.4 Tons) of used oil, 200 <br />gallons (0.8 Tons) of used antifreeze = 11.2 Tons of hazardous waste. <br />- Facility is a large quantity generator of hazardous waste. Permit fees will be adjusted accordingly. <br />- Average of 400 gallons of used oil picked up monthly. Storage of hazardous waste must be picked up <br />every 90 days from start accumulation date. <br />- Facility in construction w/ approval from City of Manteca & County Planning Dept to install city -supplied <br />water lines & sewer system for truck wash, per Jessie.
