Weber Ave., 3rd Floor <br />Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br />Dear Eric: <br />This letter is in response to your inspection of December 2 and December 3, 1996 at our Can Plant and <br />Lodi Plant. Below is a response to each item identified as a violation in your report. <br />Violation #21: 55 gallon drum did not have a lid. <br />Response: A new bung was installed by December 6, 1996. <br />Violation #28: Unable to locate hazardous waste manifest for document #CESQG001 dated July 17, <br />1996. <br />Response: Copy of receiving transaction has been obtained (Attachment # 1). The vendor certifies <br />that the waste has been disposed of in accordance with state laws and regulations. <br />Violation #75: Need recycling exclusion/exemption for water/enamel filter unit. <br />Response: The filter system described in your report is a closed system and does not discharge any <br />waste. A complete recyclable materials reporting form is attached (Attachment #2) <br />Violation #15: Eye wash station in lift shop was not operational. <br />Response: A new water line was hooked up to the lift shop eyewash/shower on December 9, 1996. <br />An inspection of the shower was made on December 10, 1996. The eyewash/shower are <br />both now functional. Photos are attached (Attachment #3). <br />If you need any further information, please contact me at the telephone number below.
