Paoe 4 <br />HISTORY & SCOPE OF WORK <br />1.0 History & Scope of Work: <br />1.1 History: <br />The site located at Naval Comm Center, Stockton, <br />California, is used for equipment. <br />1.2 Scope of Work: <br />The work consists of removal of (1) 500 gallon onder- <br />ground fuel storage tank; previously storing CA leadr-.-d � <br />gasoline. I -All associated equipnxent will also -be <br />removed. All residual liquids will be pumped oot and <br />disposed of under manifest. Tank will be inerted with a <br />minimum of 15 pounds of dry ice per 1,000 oal]on tank <br />capacity. This process of purging tank is to lowe/ <br />explosive limit to safely transport tank. <br />1.3 Responsibilities of Other Aoenc ies Present: <br />a. The Environmental Health Department is responsibie <br />for approval and inspect�on of procedures. i`,c]ud�ng <br />tank removal, sample procurement and integrity of <br />work plan. <br />b. The Fire Department is responsible fr.-,Y- -Ii -so ection <br />relative to safe procedures and condition of tank <br />prior to removal. <br />
