Environmental Services, and the Final Report and Request for Closure Underground Waste
Oil Tank & Related Fixtures submitted 25 September 1995 by Wm. J. Hunter & Associates have been
reviewed for the DDRW - Sharpe facility.
In general, the underground tank investigation process as detailed in the Tri -Regional
Recommendations, expects Sharpe to determine whether soil only is impacted or if ground water also
must be investigated at each of its underground tank sites. If a soil only case is indicated, the extent of
contamination is to be completely defined, and contaminated soil is to be removed and/or treated so that
residual contamination cannot impact ground water. If ground water is found to be impacted Sharpe
needs to define the problem area and propose remedial measures.
A table has been prepared to summarize the data presented in the aforementioned documents and
provide recommendations for further actions for each site based in this process. A work plan with
proposals for additional actions at each of these sites should be submitted by 15 December 1995.
If you have any questions please call me at (916) 255-3051.
CORI CONDON
Associate Engineering Geologist
cc: Mr. Robert McClellon,.
