The site safety officers at the job <br />site will be Keith A. Tallia of Oil Equipment Service. The alternate <br />site safety officer will be Bruce K. Kieffaber of Oil Equipment Service. <br />Oil Equipment Service will have on site two (2) fire extinguishers and <br />one (1) first-aid kit within 50' of the tank or areas where flammable <br />vapors are present. <br />Oil Equipment Service shall notify the local fire department 48 hours <br />before excavation shall begin. USA will also be notified before excavation <br />of job. <br />Tank must be empty of product before start of job. Oil Equipment Service <br />will triple rinse tank with water. Rinse will be hauled away by Nor -Cal <br />Oil Co., hazardous hauler. Tank will be dry iced, 20 pounds of dry ice <br />per 1,000 gallons, before excavating. Oil Equipment Service shall monitor <br />tank with a Combustible Gas Indicator (CGI) and seal all openings before <br />tank will be transported. At no time will anyone cut or weld the tank. <br />Tank will be secured on truck after extraction for transportation. Tank <br />and plumbing will be hauled by Oil Equipment Service to Triangle Inc. <br />of Sacramentoto be properly disposed of via destruction. <br />Oil Equipment Service will approach all tank extractions with possible <br />cave-ins. The following rules will be followed to prevent any mishaps: <br />1) soil to be inspected for stability before and after tank is removed, <br />2) soil is to be kept at least two (2) feet from edge of an excavation, <br />3) if excavation is five (5) feet or more, the hole shall be tapered, <br />braced, or other equivalent methods shall be used to prevent possible <br />cave-ins. Precautions will be taken at all times. <br />
