� 3. PLAN RMMLSWELTNES v a. The enclosed plan review sheet is provided for your information to assist you in interpreting our requirements for your new UST system. b. A copy of the California UST .Regulations may be obtained from the State Water Resources Control Board at (916) 739-4332. C. Permits and/or plan check approval may also be required by the San Joaquin Air Pollution Control District, County/City Building Department and Fire District in your respective area. d. Complete and submit the State Water Resources Control Board "Facility Permit (A)" and "Tank Permit (B)" application forms. e. A minimum of 3 inspections will be conducted on the UST system installation. A $35 per hour inspection fee may be charged for additional inspections or ry reinspections as required. (See required inspections below) £ Applicant/contractor to adhere to the approval plan and any change or deviation shall be reported and approved by PHS/EHD prior to installation. � = g. Tank installation permit shall expire six (6) months after the permit approval a date. All work must be completed within six (6) months. 4. REQUIRED INSPECTIONS All appointments for inspections must be made at least 48 hours in advance for the following: a. Primary and secondary tank(s) shall be tested pneumatically at 3 - 5 p.s.i. for one hour; one-half hour for primary tank and one-half hour for secondary tank. (All external connections shall be soap tested while under-pressure.) b. Primary and secondary piping for the product and vapor return shall be hydrostatically tested to 150% or pnuematically tested to 110%of"maximum anticipated system pressure but does not less than 51bs. per square inch at the highest point of the system for a minimum of 20 minutes. C.- Vent lines shall be pressure tested at 5 p.s.i. for a minimum of 20 minutes and soap tested while under pressure. d. Containment sumps and overfill protection shall be capable of holding a minimum of 15 gallons of liquid for fuel tanks, five gallons for waste tank and pass a 24 hour leak test. e. Monitoring system shall pass a functional test. The functional test shall consist of the activation of the alarm by exposing the probes to less than 1/2 inch of both the product to be stored in tanks and water. f. Final inspection and approval to operate will be granted after the above requirements are satisfied and a hard copy of the precision test is submitted to inspector at site. R= The contractor's approved printset oAUST installation shall kept at the job site and must xo_the_-ins pector_11poll request. In addition, the Local Fire Department shall approve UST installation prior to commencement of work.
