� <br /> 3. PLAN RMMLSWELTNES v <br /> a. The enclosed plan review sheet is provided for your information to assist you <br /> in interpreting our requirements for your new UST system. <br /> b. A copy of the California UST .Regulations may be obtained from the State <br /> Water Resources Control Board at (916) 739-4332. <br /> C. Permits and/or plan check approval may also be required by the San Joaquin <br /> Air Pollution Control District, County/City Building Department and Fire <br /> District in your respective area. <br /> d. Complete and submit the State Water Resources Control Board "Facility <br /> Permit (A)" and "Tank Permit (B)" application forms. <br /> e. A minimum of 3 inspections will be conducted on the UST system installation. <br /> A $35 per hour inspection fee may be charged for additional inspections or ry <br /> reinspections as required. (See required inspections below) <br /> £ Applicant/contractor to adhere to the approval plan and any change or <br /> deviation shall be reported and approved by PHS/EHD prior to installation. � = <br /> g. Tank installation permit shall expire six (6) months after the permit approval a <br /> date. All work must be completed within six (6) months. <br /> 4. REQUIRED INSPECTIONS <br /> All appointments for inspections must be made at least 48 hours in advance for the <br /> following: <br /> a. Primary and secondary tank(s) shall be tested pneumatically at 3 - 5 p.s.i. for <br /> one hour; one-half hour for primary tank and one-half hour for secondary <br /> tank. <br /> (All external connections shall be soap tested while under-pressure.) <br /> b. Primary and secondary piping for the product and vapor return shall be <br /> hydrostatically tested to 150% or pnuematically tested to 110%of"maximum <br /> anticipated system pressure but does not less than 51bs. per square inch at the <br /> highest point of the system for a minimum of 20 minutes. <br /> C.- Vent lines shall be pressure tested at 5 p.s.i. for a minimum of 20 minutes and <br /> soap tested while under pressure. <br /> d. Containment sumps and overfill protection shall be capable of holding a <br /> minimum of 15 gallons of liquid for fuel tanks, five gallons for waste tank and <br /> pass a 24 hour leak test. <br /> e. Monitoring system shall pass a functional test. The functional test shall consist <br /> of the activation of the alarm by exposing the probes to less than 1/2 inch of <br /> both the product to be stored in tanks and water. <br /> f. Final inspection and approval to operate will be granted after the above <br /> requirements are satisfied and a hard copy of the precision test is submitted <br /> to inspector at site. R= <br /> The contractor's approved printset oAUST installation shall kept at the job site and must <br /> xo_the_-ins pector_11poll request.
