SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION <br />Karen Furst, M.D., M.P.H., Health Officer <br />304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor - Stockton, CA 95202 <br />209/468-3420 <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Date: April 29, 1998 <br />To: HS&E Analyst <br />Shell Oil Company <br />From: Michael Kith, REHS Hfk." <br />San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Division (EHD) <br />Re: County Club Shell, 2575 Country Club Blvd, Stockton. <br />After reviewing the EHD records and the line and leak detector test results, dated 4/9/97 <br />and 3/31/98, submitted to EHD by Tanknology-NDE, I discovered the following <br />discrepancies: <br />i. The leak detectors were different. On 6/30/95, the final inspection indicated <br />that the leak detectors were Veeder -Root Volumetric Line Leak Detector <br />(VLLD). The line and leak detector test results indicated that the leak <br />detectors were Red Jacket XLP and Vaporless 2000. <br />2. On 6/30/95, the final inspection revealed the present of the automatic pump <br />shut down. The line and leak detector test result revealed the absence of the <br />automatic pump shut down. <br />Within 14 days of receipt of this memo, please submit a written explanation regarding the <br />above discrepancies and an application for EHD permit to repair/upgrade the monitoring <br />system.
