We have been working
with you on permitting and installation the underground tank for our generator fuel located near the
CUP. Our bed addition will relocate our Emergency Department to the new wing and includes a
decontamination area with its own underground holding tank. The purpose of the facility is for
emergency we In the event people are brought to the hospital that have been exposed to hazardous
substances or chemicals. The tank will hold "wastewater" resulting from a specific decontamination
event and will be emptied after each Incident in order not to cross contaminates. We provide this
Information for your knowledge of our intended use and to assist you In reviewing the necessary
compliance requirements for the underground tank.
Please give me a call at (209/339.7612) If you have questions or need any further information.
Dear Michelle,
I am responding to your questions on the phone after verifying with our Safety & Security Officer.
2 L .,
r-■.. 1 w w: .. i. i . i ii..3 . ■ ■ .y.. :r]Fi rr_ + `,.
are being decontaminated, and containment of the residual 'wastewater'.
Yr r S r i Ya'`+ ■ ■ c s r. c. ,. . . . M..' .a ; ■. r ' r C 4 ■ ■. q r
The send question was regarding timely removal of the waste within the tank. Our insurance
coverage includes a hazardous waste response clause which provides a program by our carrier to
supply us with a selection of vendors for hazardous waste removal during emergency situations (Pier II
Pollution Incident Environmental Response Program). This provides us with several options for
obtaining prompt service In the event of an incident.
0 Pago 1
