An inspection of the facility by the <br />EHD found the southwest wall of the store boarded up and the store operations closed. The facility owner stated <br />that the building electrical service will be restored in approximately three weeks. <br />Violation: California Health and Safety Code §25291(b) — The underground tank system shall be designed and <br />constructed with a monitoring system capable of detecting the entry of the hazardous substance stored in the primary <br />containment into the secondary containment. <br />Corrective Action: Immediately repair the underground storage tank monitoring system to restore continuous <br />monitoring. Repairs to the monitoring panel and system will require an approved permit from the EHD. <br />All EHD staff time associated with failing to comply is billed at the department rate, currently $122/hour.
