To: Doug Wilson
From: Michael W. LeClair Weeder Root Sr. Field Engineer)
Subject: Parts description and wiring for EVR\ISD Test Site
Test Site Location: Tosco
2701 March Lane
Stockton, CA.
Ref: Stockton Layout .xls
The proposed ISD equipment for the Tosco (Stockton) test
site will include the following:
Roots Air Flow Meters will be installed on the common vapor
return line exiting each dispenser. The flow meters are
labeled as "Air Volume 1-6" on the site layout file. The
flow meters are 3 wire Intrinsically safe devices and will
require a 3 wire shielded cable pulled under each
dispenser.
A Setra Pressure Sensor will be installed under dispenser
position 3-4 (labeled as Pressure 2 on the site layout
file) and will connect to the Roots Air Flow Meter. This
is a 2 wire intrinsically safe device and will require a 2
wire shielded cable pulled to dispenser 3-4 .
We will also install a Setra Pressure Sensor on one of the
manifolded vents (labeled as Pressure 1 on the site layout
file) . This pressure sensor will connect to the Pressure
Vent valve that is currently installed on top of the vents .
This also is a 2 wire intrinsically safe device . In order
to get our 2 wire shielded cable to the vent, we intend on
running a 2 wire shielded cable (in Intrinsically safe
conduit) to the annular space J-box in the Diesel Tank and
then cutting a 1 inch deep saw cut to the vents and
installing our direct bury cable in the saw cut . We will
then install a filler rod over the buried cable and then
install a sealant over the filler rod to protect the wire .
We will install a Data Acquisition box (labeled as TLS-EVR
on the site layout file) in the back room of the station.
The box will contain all the wiring terminations from all
the Air Flow Meters and Pressure Sensors . This box will-
