TEST: Structural <br />B. TEST ITEM: Fuel Containment Box, AMCOM Elite <br />Dispenser Drip Pan <br />C. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Verbal instructions from <br />American Containment <br />2. MIL -STD -45662A <br />3. MIL -I -45208A, Amendment 1 <br />D. TEST RESULTS: <br />The fuel containment box was installed into a rigid test <br />stand. The cross bar was installed into the box at the <br />longitudinal center. The side bolt mounted fuel shut off <br />valve was bolted to the cross bar. All tie down bolts and <br />attachment hardware were tightened. A pull test fixture was <br />screwed into the fracture coupling on the top of the shut <br />off valve. A hydraulic cylinder with a load cell was <br />attached to the pull test fixture one (1) foot above the <br />fracture point. <br />The cross bar assembly and containment box were then <br />subjected to a pull test to fracture link failure in four <br />(4) directions side-to-side and front -to -back. <br />The fracture link break points were as follows: <br />Side -to -Side = Longitudinal 426 foot pounds <br />Side -to -Side = Longitudinal 287 foot pounds <br />Front -to -Back = Lateral 285 foot pounds <br />Front -to -Back = Lateral 311 foot pounds <br />Test data, an equipment list and test setup photographs are <br />attached. <br />This report and the information contained herein represent the results of testing test articles identified and selected by the client performed to specifications <br />and/or procedures selected by the client. National Technical Systems (NTS) makes no representations expressed or implied that such testing is adequate (or <br />inadequate) to demonstrate efficiency, performance, reliability, or any other characteristic of the articles being tested, or similar products.
