The following <br />prior to permit approval. <br />submitted"•iii response' to the <br />on the January 23 1996 letter <br />items still need to be addressed <br />1. The written monitoring and response plan does not fulfill <br />all of the requirements stated in section 2636 (d) (1) & <br />(2), CCR, Title 23 Waters, Division 3, Chapter 16. It may <br />be easier to comply with this section by completing the <br />enclosed monitoring and response plan and returning it to <br />this office. <br />2. What material is the American Containment dispenser pan <br />constructed of? Does the material have sufficient <br />thickness, density, and corrosion resistance to prevent <br />structural weakening or damage to the containment system as <br />a result of contact with any released hazardous substance? <br />Is the pan UL listed? <br />3. All Proposed leak detection methods and equipment must meet <br />the requirements specified in 40 CFR 280.40 and have been <br />reviewed by the State Water Resources Control Board Staff. <br />The Red Jacket PLD leak detector is not listed in LG 113-10 <br />as approved leak detection equipment. What leak detector <br />will be installed in place of the Red Jacket PLD? <br />4. Please submit a cut sheet for the flex -.containment boot to <br />be installed below the vent riser. <br />5. Please submit a completed, signed copy of page three. <br />6.
