This is accomplished as the top of the Valve shears instantly upon impact or <br />the fusible link melts and closes the Valve in the event of fire. The Valve features <br />a flapper -style poppet design, which allows unobstructed flow. Its patented design <br />houses the poppet and seat in the lower valve body, completely independent of <br />the shear section, so even with the top off, the Valve provides a 100% liquid tight <br />seal. A stainless steel reset nut eliminates stripping the fusible link during valve <br />reset, reducing downtime by allowing manual valve reset.
