Page 9 of 23 Standard Operating Procedures
Health and Safety Mans
6.3 Physical Hazards
A variety of physical hazards may be present during Site activities. These hazards are similar
to those associated with any construction -type project. These physical hazards are due to motor
vehicle and heavy equipment operation, the use of power and hand tools, hazardous walking and
working surfaces, and handling and storage of fuels. In addition, workers must be aware of
electrical hazards, such as overhead power lines, while performing their assigned tasks. These
hazards are not unique and are generally familiar to most field personnel. Additional task -
specific requirements will be covered during safety briefings.
ROUX ASSOCIATES HASP. 4/93 3425 Tracy Boulevard
Tracy, California
