This information will be needed at the
time of set-up.
0
7. Connect a 2 -wire cable to the field wire as
shown in Wiring Diagram, on page 15.
Tighten the cable grip in the junction box to in-
sure a watertight connection.
NOTE: The 2 -wire cable connector has a plug
connected under the probe cover. If the probe
has to be removed after it is wired in the junction
box, open the 950 cap, remove the four stainless
steel Allen screws, remove the cover (if optional
probe housing was provided) and disconnect at
the plug. When reconnecting, be sure the gasket
between the probe cap and flange is in place.
The X76 ETM System provides you with an al-
phanumeric LCD read-out that will display tank infor-
mation and prompt you through the initial set-up
5.1 Data Entry Keys
Provides quick and easy information input. The
Clear/Correct key, C/CE, will clear or correct
data entry, and is used for alphabetical input.
Enter Key - ENT: Used for data entry.
Tank Number Key - TANK NO.: Used to ad-
vance LCD read-outs to the next tank in your sys-
tem.
Low Level Key - LO: Used to display the set
point, in gallons, to the Low Level Alarm for the
tank number displayed.
High Level Key - HI: Used to display the set
point, in gallons, of the High Level Alarm for the
tank number displayed.
Display Key - DISPLAY: Used to change the
LCD format from inches and gallons to tempera-
ture and water or time and date.
D. The X76 ETM Probe has been shipped with a
950 cap adaptor and one loose 3/8" watertight
connector. The probe has a 3 foot 2 -wire
cable for connecting the probe to the junction
box. Check to make sure this equipment is
present.
1. Screw the 950 adaptor to the pipe riser.
2. Loosen the watertight cable grip on the 950
fill cap and insert the 2 -wire cable.
3. Connect the slack chain attached to the
950 cap to the eye hook on top of the
probe.
IMPORTANT: Check to be sure the wire tie used
to secure the fuel and water sensor for shipping
'
has been removed from the bottom slot of the
probe housing tube.
NOTE: Check to be sure stick readings have
'
been made and recorded on the tank tilt informa-
tion sheet before the probe is installed. This will
avoid unnecessary delays at set-up time.
4. Insert probe into the riser pipe. Do not let the
probe free fall because this can cause
damage to the tank bottom or the probe itself.
WARNING: Turn off the power to the X76 ETM
System before installing probes to prevent
personal injury, property loss and equipment
damage.
5. Adjust the cable lengths between the top of
the probe and the 950 cap so there is more
'
cable than chain. Then tighten the cable's grip
to insure a watertight connection.
6. Insert the watertight cable grip (supplied) into
the junction box and insert the cable from the
probe through the cable grip into the junction
box.
0
7. Connect a 2 -wire cable to the field wire as
shown in Wiring Diagram, on page 15.
Tighten the cable grip in the junction box to in-
sure a watertight connection.
NOTE: The 2 -wire cable connector has a plug
connected under the probe cover.
