Main Street
Dear Margaret:
The City Council is extremely concerned about the apparent ongoing discharge of
gasoline containing MTBE into the groundwater. I request that the County Public Health
Services take steps to determine whether or not the tank system is in tact or not. If system is
leaking, we request that appropriate steps be taken to shut down gasoline sales until such time as
the integrity of the fuel dispensing and storage operation is restored.
We appreciate your immediate attention to this matter. If I can be of any assistant, please
do not hesitate to call.
Respectfully,
CITY OF RIPON
I',-D"Z51
Dale J.
