Yearly Employee Training <br /> (Underground Storage Tank Facility) <br /> 1. Emergency shut off switch <br /> This switch is use in case of emergencies, you should know where this switch is <br /> at all times. <br /> 2. Notification <br /> In the event of a hazardous material release immediately, notify the appropriate <br /> authority. Depending on the amount and location of the release, the following <br /> authority should be contacted: <br /> 911 / Fire Department <br /> Local Environmental Health Department <br /> Underground Storage Tank Contractor <br /> Office of Emergency Services <br /> 3. Large Spills (25 gallons or more) <br /> In the event of a large spill, the following action should be taken: <br /> Emergency shut off switch <br /> Call 911 <br /> Contain the spill to a limited area using absorbent material (do not rinse <br /> gasoline spills with water) <br /> Contact the local environmental health department <br /> 4. Small Spill (under 25 gallons) <br /> In the event of a small spill, the following action should be taken: <br /> Contain the spill and secure area using absorbent material <br /> Secure area with safety cones or caution tape <br /> Dispose contaminated absorbent material in an appropriate label <br /> container <br /> Small spill immediate reporting is not required if spilled is contained. <br /> 5. Monitoring <br /> Know where your underground storage tank alarm-monitoring console is <br /> located. <br /> Log all alarms as they occur into your daily alarm log. <br /> 6. Maintenance <br /> Make sure spill buckets, dispenser pans, turban sumps, and spill sumps <br /> are clean of any liquid and or debris. <br /> Check all hose and nozzle base filled for any cracks or tears, replace any <br /> cracks or torn hose and nozzles face seals. <br /> 7. Documentation <br /> Keep all monthly designating inspection reports for a minimum of 3 years <br /> Document all monitor alarms in the daily alarm log <br /> Record all repairs and services in your daily repair log <br /> Perform daily checklist <br /> All documentations should be kept orderly and readily available upon <br /> request. <br /> I, Bill of_Escalon Mini Mart have been trained <br /> by Terry Hodson (monthly designated operator-Franzen-Hill Corporation)on_12-4- <br /> 09 and have read and understand the above training guide. <br />
