Per my conversation with Willie Ng the repair of
the secondary piping of the return line will be made in an identical manner to the repair of the
supply line. Our intentions are as follows:
1) Cut the secondary piping, being careful not to disturb the primary piping,at a point
approximately 36"away from the turbine sump.
2) Loosen the sump termination fitting allowing us to slide the secondary piping into the
turbine sump until the all of the cracked piping is inside the sump.
3) Inside the sump....cut off the exposed cracked secondary piping.
4) Outside the sump.....install a"3"sleeve coupling",P/N 012030-101-3,over the
secondary containment piping to connect the two loose ends together.
5) Retighten sump termination fitting.
6) Soap and pressure test the secondary containment line.
7) Lake test the sump.
8) Accomplish third party precision testing of tank and primary and secondary piping.
9) A"Certification of Installation/Modification"form will be submitted upon completion.
Note: Per Willie Ng items A&B of your approval letter of June 12,2009,are not necessary.
Please call at your earliest opportunity with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
J Bagley
General Manager
