Waterloo Rd.
Stockton, CA
Dear Lititia,
This is in follow up to our letter to you dated October
17, 1997, and your and my subsequent tel-con on October 20,
1997.
As explained in my October 17, 1997 letter, the turbine
pump on tank number 2 is hard wired to the circuit breaker which
causes it to run constantly and keep the line under constant
pressure.
When our technician was there on October 16, 1997, he
removed the 3/8" pipe plug on the side of the emergency impact
valve under a dispenser that dispenses the product from tank
number 2. He then connected a line to this opening that has
a pressure gage and a shut off valve on it. He then turned
the circuit breaker for this turbine on and pressurized the
line. He then turned the circuit breaker off, returned to the
dispenser, opened the valve on his test gear and bled the
pressure off into a test bucket. He then closed the valve on
the test gear, and turned the circuit breaker on and could only
get a trickle of product out of the nozzle which indicated the
line leak detector had properly closed when he bled the pressure
off the line by simulating a leak.
