excavated soil was stockpiled on the asphalt parking lot and covered with a Visqueen tarp. <br />® Broken concrete was removed from the site and landfilled as nonhazardous material. <br />Following the removal of soil and concrete from above and around the tanks, chains were <br />® attached to lifting rings on the tanks. The tanks were then removed from each excavation <br />by lifting with the excavator. <br />Following removal of the tanks from the excavations, the external surface of the tanks were <br />® visually inspected for evidence of holes or leakage. Photographs of the tank and tank <br />removal procedure are presented in Appendix A. <br />TRANSPORTDISPOSE <br />The excavated tanks were manifested as a Hazardous Waste (State Manifest Document <br />No. 90160505 (550 -gallon UST) and No. 90161887 (2,000 -gallon UST)) and removed to <br />® Erikson, Incorporated, in Richmond, California (a State -permitted hazardous waste <br />C <br />treatment, storage, and disposal facility). A copy of these Manifests and Certificates of <br />Waste Disposal are presented in Appendix B. <br />COLLECT CONFIRMATORY SOIL SAMPLES <br />One confirmatory soil sample was collected from the base of the excavation beneath the <br />® 550 -gallon tank at a depth of approximately 20 feet below ground surface (bgs), and two <br />confirmatory soil samples were collected from the base of the excavation beneath the <br />2,000 -gallon tank at depths of approximately 12 feet bgs as directed by the onsite <br />® representative of the San Joaquin Local Health Department. Two confirmatory soil <br />samples were collected from the surface of the soil stockpile.
