x
The Lodi Fire Marshal has inspected the site and
determined that the Lodi fire department will approve
a fill in place. (see attached letter)
101411]+
The proposed plan is to drill three bore holes around
the tank and if clean, fill the tank in place with
a cement grout mixture using two sacks of cement per
cubic yard of sand with 5% bentonite.
Prior to filling with grout, tank will be washed and
purged of combustible vapor with dry ice. Rinsate
will be barreled and removed by a hazardous waste
hauler.
SOIL SAMPLING:
Three bore holes will be drilled in location shown
on plot plan. Soil samples will be taken at every
five feet. Bottom of tank is aproximately 20' below
grade.
If soil is clean bore holes will stop 20' below tank,
if contamination is discovered, the drilling program
will be expanded to determine the limits of contamin-
ation.
An application for soil boring is included along with
an authorization letter to release sample results.
Upon receipt of soil boring permit, samples will be
taken and analyzed for TPH and BTX as shown below.
The tank will be filled in place after submitting
soil sample analysis for approval to San Joaquin Local
Health District.
SOILS ANALYSIS:
TPH EPA 8015 Modified
BTX ? ; •
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate
to contact me.
Sincerely,
Jame lder, P.E.
i
