SITE SAFETY PLAN <br />FOR <br />Former Mobil Service Station No. 10-NP4 <br />2375 Tracy Boulevard <br />Tracy, California <br />Project No. 30-0140 <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />A Site Safety Plan (SSP), designed to address safety <br />provisions needed during the site investigation, <br />provides procedures to protect onsite personnel from <br />physical and chemical hazards resulting from drilling, <br />excavation, site restoration, and system maintenance <br />operations. The SSP establishes personnel <br />responsibilities, general safe work practices, safe <br />field procedures, personal protective equipment <br />standards, decontamination procedures, and emergency <br />action plans. <br />This SSP conforms with health and safety requirements <br />promulgated by the United States Occupational Safety and <br />Health Administration (OSHA) and California Occupational <br />Safety and Health Administration (Cal -OSHA). <br />Alton Geoscience will enter the property referenced <br />above, conduct the proposed scope of work following the <br />procedures set forth in this SSP. <br />2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES OF KEY PERSONNEL <br />Onsite personnel will have assigned responsibilities. <br />The Project Geologist, assigned to supervise field work, <br />will serve as the Site Safety Officer (SSO). The SSO or <br />a designated alternate, will ensure that all onsite <br />personnel have received a copy of the SSP. The SSO <br />shall be responsible for ensuring that all personnel <br />understand and comply with this SSP.
