tHE RLD. AXPERIENCE'qN Ac-rIDN <br />In 1976, Red Jacket introduced the two-sec- <br />ond leak detector, the first to make a complete <br />line test in only two seconds. Because of the <br />growth of self-service, increasing fuel cost, and <br />environmental concerns, the industry demanded <br />such a product. Red Jacket responded. We've <br />done so again. <br />Red Jacket has developed the PLD, a new <br />piston leak detector with a rugged approach de- <br />signed for efficient operation in extreme tem- <br />perature conditions. <br />The PLD fits into the same space as the <br />present leak detector and will detect a leak rate <br />of approximately 3 GPH downstream of the leak <br />detector. (3 GPH at 10 P.S.I. as prescribed by <br />the E.P.A.). It will handle standard motor fuels <br />and it compensates for product (thermal) con- <br />traction. The PLD is easily installed in Red Jacket <br />submersibles or with competitive models. A <br />tamper -proof feature is provided to prevent un- <br />authorized alteration or removal. <br />Once again, Red Jacket is applying its 30 <br />years of experience in this technology. We began <br />providing a dependable method of monitoring for <br />leaks between the storage tank and point of <br />dispensing in 1959.
