OPW 10-R Series Emergency Shut-off Valves are mounted on fuel lines at island surface level within the pedestal (see typical service station layout, page 4) as a precautionary measure. Should the pedestal be over- turned, or dislocated due to being bumped, or because of ground heave caused by freezing, the OPW 10-R Series valves are designed so that the top section shears off when properly installed with a tight attachment to the piping sec- tion. This in turn, causes the valve to close. Further gasoline spillage is prevented. Standard Features: The OPW 10-R Series valves feature the main seat in the top assembly.
