b. Alarm Setpoint Too Sensitive: If the vapor alarm continues -,outside
the probe well, then adjust the setpoint trimpot counter -clockwise
until the alarm stops. (See section IV.2.2 Vapor Alarm
Adjustments.)
C. Vapor Sensor Failure: If vapor alarm continues even after the VADJ
trimpot has been turned counter -clockwise all the way, disconnect
the white sensor wire from the safety barrier ZSB-2; if the alarm
stops, then it indicates a short circuit in the sensor.
d. Channel PC Card Failure: If after the above three check-up
procedures, the alarm still continues, then it indicates a malfunction
in the PC card. If the unit is equipped with more than one channel
PC card, then check by exchanging it with another PC card, and
contact the factory or authorized service agent for replacement.
a Vapor Alarm Fails to Activate when "Vapor" Test Switch is Pressed
Possible causes and remedies:
a. Improper Alarm Setpoint Adjustment: Adjust the VADJ trimpot
clockwise to increase the sensitivity (See Section IV.2.2.. Vapor
Alarm Adjustment.)
b. Channel PC Card Failure: If the vapor alarm fails to respond to the
trimpot adjustment, then the problem might be with the channel PC
card Check by replacing it with PC card from another channel if
available, and contact the factory or authorized service agent for
replacement.
41, Liquid Alarm Stays Activated All the Tims
Possible causes and remedies:
a. Liquid -Present: Check the probe well to verify whgther the sensor is
in contact with liquid.
b. Open Circuit in Liquid Sensor Circuit: Check to make sure the
liquid sensor circuit is properly connected. (NOTE.- If the channel
has no liquid sensor, then one of the following steps must be taken
to avoid liquid alarm: (i) Turn the LAW trimpot counter -clockwise
until the liquid alarm disappears, or (ii) Connect the GREEN wire
to one of the Ground Terminal Block contacts.)
C. Trimpot Adjustment Too Sensitive: Turn the LAW trimpot
counter -clockwise to decrease sensitivity.
d Channel PC Card Failure: If none of the above, then the trouble
could be due to the PC card malfunction. Consult the factory or
authorized service agent for replacement.
—11—
