The certifications sent in my last email are sufficient for this project, there will be
no modifications to the fiberglass piping, only the steel piping in the sump.
2.. The vapor lines are to remain intact in the UDC's as the new dispensers are 3+1's, in
other words, they will dispense gas and diesel and the existing vapor lines will be utilized
for the new dispensers.
3. The vapor line inside the piping sump will be capped with a 2" steel cap on an existing
steel line within the confines of the sump, with Gasolia pipe thread compound. This capping will
be done above the product line penetrations, so that additional testing of the sump will not be
required.
4. All penetrations in the sumps and UDC's to remain and not to be altered.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to working with you on this project.
Sincerely,
John Fahy
Fahy Construction Company, Inc.
411 N. Tracy Blvd
John,
-Please submit a complete and current set of certifications for one person who will be doing the work with Fahy
construction.
I received the ICC and Bravo for Dave Daniels but did not receive manufacturer training/cert for piping
-Please explain "The vapor lines inside the UDC's will not be capped as we are replacing the dispensers
with 3+1's"
-at what height will the vapor line (in the STP sump, above or below the highest product piping penetration?) be
capped? I am trying to make a determination if a secondary containment test will be required on this sump.
Hopefully this information will be sufficient for me to send out the approval letter once reviewed by my supervisor.
Thanks
Michelle
Michelle D.
