The following is an itemized list of underground storage tank violations that have not <br />been addressed for QUIK STOP MARKET #3144 as of October 07, 2015. <br />Open violations from July 30, 2015 inspection <br />Violation #306 - Monitoring equipment is not installed or maintained to detect a leak at the earliest <br />opportunity. <br />The 87 STP sump and the 89 STP sump sensors were raised approximately three inches off the lowest point of the <br />sump and not located to detect a leak at the earliest opportunity. Monitoring equipment shall be maintained to be <br />able to detect a leak at the earliest possible opportunity. The sensors were relocated to the lowest point of the sump <br />by the service technician. Ensure that all monitoring equipment is maintained to detect a leak at the earliest <br />opportunity. This was corrected on site. <br />Violation #307 - Monitoring system of the interstitial space of a double walled system not maintained. <br />The 91 annular sensor failed to activate an audible and visual alarm when tested and, therefore, the tank is not <br />monitored. The interstitial space shall be monitored with a monitoring system connected to an audible and visual <br />alarm system. The sensor was replaced and retested during the inspection. A "UST Retrofit Verification with <br />Inspector Already Onsite" form has been completed and provided to the operator and contractor. This was corrected <br />on site. <br />Violation #319 - Water in secondary containment not removed, analyzed, and properly disposed of (pre -Jul <br />2003). <br />Liquid was observed in the: <br />- 87 STP Sump <br />- 89 STP Sump <br />- 91 STP Sump <br />If water could enter into the secondary containment by precipitation or infiltration, it must be removed and disposed o <br />properly. The service technician removed 4 cups of liquid each from the 87 STP sump, the 89 STP sump and the 91 <br />STP sump. Ensure that all sumps and annular spaces are maintained free of liquid. This was corrected on site. <br />Violation #325 - Spill container failed to contain a minimum capacity of five gallons. <br />The 87 spill container failed when tested. All spill containers shall have a minimum capacity of five gallons and be <br />capable of containing a spill or overfill until it is detected or cleaned up. The service technician replaced the cap, <br />retested the spill container and it passed. This was corrected on site. <br />Open violations from August 01, 2014 inspection <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
