Underground fuel storage tanks
located at Site 300 are monitored according to Alternative 5 (Title 23, CCR,
Sections 2641 [c] [5] and 2644 [e]). There are two Alternative 5 systems. They are
known by the designations 879-GlU1 and 879-G2U1 and are used to supply
gasoline to vehicles.
Recorded were two variations which exceeded allowable limits this quarter for
tank 879-G2U1 (refer to Table 1). The cause of the variations recorded on July 31
and September 28 are unknown. Subsequent measurements showed no
unacceptable variations. The system passed a precision test on May 12. (See
attached test report.)
The Inventory Reconciliation Quarterly Summary Report Form is attached for
your records. An additional table is included to provide more detailed
information than can be accommodated on the standard Summary Report Form.
An Equal Opportunity Employer•Universit yof California•P.O.Box 808 Livermore,Califomia 94550•Telephone(415)422-1100•Twx 910-386-8339 UCLLL LVMR
