1
Mr. Doug Wilson
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Page 2
considerations, the planned bioremediation of the excavated soil will be
postponed until the summer of 1994.
We recently learned that in 1978 or 1979, a diesel product line was broken
during installation of electrical grounding equipment. The location of this
release is assumed to be the same location as the Christy Box near the
southeast corner of Building 850. This new information supports our 1991
investigation in which TEPH-diesel was identified in soil up to a maximum
concentration of 270 mg/kg approximately 3 feet away from the Christy Box.
This release, along with the results from drilling and sampling in this
area, will be described in the closure report referenced above.
For additional information, please call Albert Lamarre at (510) 422-0757.
Sincerely,
William A.
