Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory presently has three USTs,
827-D1U1,865-D1U1 and 871-D1U1 in that category at Site 300. These tanks contain
diesel fuel for emergency stand-by generators or boilers.
Enclosed is a summary and the results of the integrity tests performed by state licensed
tank tester,Mr. Richard J. Silva (License No. 91-1437),of Clayton Environmental
Consultants, Inc., Pleasanton,California for the month of February. These tests were
done using Horner EZY-CHEK test equipment.
Although the results of the tank integrity tests show the three tanks to be product tight,
when 827-D1U1 was removed on March 11, 1994 several holes were in evidence. Your
presence during this removal served as the verbal notification and Rick Henry has sent
your office the five-day written notification.
If you require additional information or have questions, please call Sabre Coleman,
Tank Assessments and Guidance Group Leader at (510) 422-3430.
Sincerely,
C.
