I also need to
review the Ronan documentation which allows two sensors to be wired into one module to determine if that is
allowed. Repair permits are contractor specific —Tank Tek cannot use a permit applied for by Walton Eng. In addition,
most if not all of the time on the Walton permit has already been used.
Facility owners can apply for repair permits and use multiple contractors on the same permit. In this case Walton Eng.
applied for the permit and it is contractor specific.
contacted Tank Tek rep. Brad Baldrich and left a voicemail requiring them to apply for the repair permit.
Thank you,
Garrett Backus, Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Ave, Stockton, CA 95205-6232
email: gbackus(asicehd.com
telephone: (209) 468-2986
fax: (209) 468-3433
website: http://www.sogov.org/ehd/Programs/Unitlll/unitiii.htm
From: Allen Faass [mailto:AFaass@pcandf.com]
Sent: Tuesday, June 12, 2012 11:38 AM
To: Garrett Backus [EH]
Subject: CRLLC 5446
Hi Garrett,
You inspection notice attached.
FYI, what appears has happened is that the sensor wires have come loose.
The Ronan can handle multiple sensors, and that the sensors are looped together to one module in the Ronan.
Richard Thomas from Tank Tek that discovered the failed sensor originally, his father was one of the designers of the
Ronan system and is going to go back and take a look this Thursday.
It will be thoroughly documented on how it will be fixed...
Get back to you.
Allen Faass
Compliance & Maintenance
Pacific Convenience and Fuels, LLC
7180 Koll Center Parkway, Suite 100
