November 2, 2010
Project No. 1001-0343
Petro-Analytical, Inc.
Post Office Box 2301
Orinda, California 94563
Attention: Mr. K.W. `Bud' McCuaig
President
Subject: Technical Work Plan / Site Health and Safety Plan, Limited Soil and Groundwater
Assessment Activities at the Kaiser Permanente Manteca Medical Center, 1777 West
Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, San Joaquin, County, California
Dear Mr. McCuaig:
Padre Associates, Inc. (Padre) is pleased to present the attached Technical Work Plan/Site
Health and Safety Plan (TWP/HSP) outlining the proposed tasks to complete limited soil and
groundwater assessment activities at the Kaiser Permanente Manteca Medical Center located at
1777 West Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, San Joaquin County, California (Project Site).
The objective of the limited soil and groundwater assessment program is to evaluate an area
of the Project Site that currently contains one, 8,000-gallon capacity diesel fuel underground storage
tank (UST). The UST was installed reportedly circa 1985, and is currently planned to be closed
in-place. The UST will be replaced by a new 8,000-gallon aboveground storage tank(AST).
Padre appreciates the opportunity to provide environmental services to Petro-Analytical, Inc.
and Kaiser Permanente. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact
us.
Sincerely,
PADRE ASSOCIATES, INC.
Alan Churchill
Project Geologist
Jerome K. Summerlin, C.E.G., C.Hg., R.E.A II
Principal
