November 2110
Project No. 1001-0343
Passeciatoop RSS G®n`
® ANVIRONWNTAL RCI6Nf1A7A
3.5 LABORATORY ANALYTICAL PROGRAM
All collected soil and groundwater samples will be delivered under chain-of-custody
procedures to a State of California-certified laboratory for potential chemical analyses. The
actual soil samples selected for chemical analyses will be based primarily on field observations
(visual, olfactory). The laboratory analytical program includes analyses of selected soil and
groundwater samples for the presence of the following constituents:
• TPH identified as diesel by U.S. EPA method 8015M;
• BTEX by U.S. EPA Method 8260; and
• MTBE by U.S. EPA Method 8260.
4.0 REPORT PREPARATION
Following receipt and review of the analytical data, Padre will prepare a report
documenting the limited soil and groundwater assessment program. The report will document
the soil and groundwater assessment methodology; site conditions encountered; field
procedures utilized; and will summarize the analytical results. The report will also identify, to
the fullest extent possible, the approximate volume of impacted soil, if encountered. The report
will contain all appropriate figures, and tabular data, and contain our conclusions and
recommendations, as appropriate. The report will be signed and certified by a State of
California-licensed Professional Geologist.
5.0 SCHEDULE
Padre is proposing to perform the limited soil and groundwater assessment activities
after the existing 8,000-gallon diesel fuel UST has been permanently closed in-place. The
scope of service detailed herein will require approximately four to six weeks to complete.
Permit acquisition will require one to two weeks. The field assessment activities will require one
to two weeks, and chemical analyses of the soil and groundwater samples collected will be
available within one to two weeks. The report will be prepared within two weeks of completing
the fieldwork and receiving the results of the laboratory analyses.
10.0343.TWP HSP Assessment
- - - 5 -
