Location
AWARNING] Locate Control Panel in a Non -
Hazardous Area Where an Explosive
Environment Will Never Exist.
• Control panel can be wall mounted using the
provided mounting hardware.
D2. Power Circuit
• All wiring must be in accordance with local codes.
• Control panel is pre -assembled and ready to wire.
❑ A 120 volt AC power source is required.
Model SB0011C Shown —
Oj® 0O
It!
f£.
O y a0
Power Circuit Ground
(To 120 Volts AC) Lug
To Ground
• Power circuit wiring (contractor provided) enters the left
conduit at the bottom of the control panel and is connected
to terminals L 1 and L2.
• Circuit breaker (contractor provided) common to other
devices is recommended.
❑ This increases probability tank owner will be aware of a
tripped circuit breaker.
• If there is no power to the control panel, the alarm bell and
other warning devices cannot be activated.
• In areas where extreme line transients occur, additional
surge protection should be installed on incoming supply
source.
D3. Sensor Circuit
• Pre -assembled reservoir sensor is ready to wire
(contractor supplied) to the control panel.
❑ For intrinsically safe wiring, use 16 AWG or 14 AWG
type THHN or type MTW (contractor supplied) for
Model SB control panels and SP switch panels.
❑ For UL rated applications, the maximum wiring dis-
tance between the sensor and control panel is 900 feet.
• Wiring for sensor circuit enters right conduit at bottom of
control panel and is connected to terminals S 1 and G 1.
Model SB001IC Shown
0
i.
O
O
Power Circuit
Ground
Sensor Circuit
(To 120 Volts AC) To Ground
Lug
(To Sensor Assembly)
• On four circuit control panel (Model SB0014C) there are
four terminal pairs.
• Connect a separate sensor to each terminal pairs.
❑ S1, G1 ❑ S3, G3
❑ S2, G2 ❑ S4, G4
Important: On the four circuit control panel, if less
than four monitoring circuits are used, a jumper wire is
required to separately connect each unused terminal
pair.
D4. Optional Wiring Device Circuit
• Tank owner may specify additional warning devices to be
provided by contractor.
❑ Optional warning device circuits enter panel at the
center conduit.
