UNDERGRO <br />RESPONSE a , <br />We will rcM VTNOM any overfill, spill. or tntauffiC ed release from a UST system as indicated in this plan. <br />Recordable Releases: Any unauthorized relasc fnem primary containment which the UST operator is able to Olen up within dight (8) hours after the release was <br />detected or should reasonably have been detected, and which docs not escape from secondary containment, does not increase the hazard of fire or explosion. and does <br />not cause any dotorimation of secondary containment, must be recorded in the facility's monitoring records, Monitoring records must irnhpde: <br />> The UST operator's name and telephone number; <br />A A list of the types, quantities. and concentrations of hamrdous substances released, <br />d, <br />> A description of the actions taken to control and clean up the release; <br />> The method and location ofdisposal of thc released haI substances, and whether a havmdous waste rramifcst was or will be used: <br />> A description of actions taken to repair the UST and to prevent future releases; <br />> A description of the method used to re activatc interstitial monitoring after replacement or repair of primary containment. <br />Reportable Releases: Any overfill, spill. or release which escapes from secondary containment (or primary containment if no secondary containment <br />e1 increases the hazard of fur a or explosion, or cause any deterioration ofsocondafy coahtainment, is a repoutRble release. Reportable r+elcases are also recordable, <br />Within 24 hours after a reportable rely has been detected, or should have been detected, we will notify the local agency administering the UST program of tiro <br />release, investigate the rclenac, and take immediate mcasurcs to stop the release. If necessary, or if retired by the local agency, remaining stored product/waste will <br />be removed from the UST to prevent further releases; or flacilitate corrective action. if an emergency exists, we will notify tate State Office ofEmcrScncy Services. <br />Within five (S) working days of a reportable release, we will submit to the local agency a fall written report containing all of the following information to the cdont <br />that the inf nation is known at the time of filing the report <br />A The UST owner's or operator's name and telephone number. <br />A A list of the types, quantitics, and concentrations of hazardous materials released-, <br />), The approximate date of the release; <br />> The date on which the release was discovered, <br />> The date on which the melcasc was stopped; <br />> A dcI of actions taken to control an&or stop the release. <br />> A description of corrective and remedial actions, including investigations which were undertakers and will be conducted to determine the natureand extent of <br />soil, ground water or surface water contamination due to he rejm% : <br />> The mcdtod(s) of eleanup implemcutcd to date, proposed cleanup actions, and a schedule for iniplennxhting the proposed actions; <br />> The methods) and location(s) of disposal of released hamstdos nffitcrials and any contaminated moils, groundwater, or surface Ovate <br />> Copies of any hazaidous waste m®nnfest, raced for off-site tram of hazardous wastes associated 9vith clean-up activity: <br />> A description of proposed methods for any repair or replacement of UST system primary/secondary containment systems: <br />> A description of additional actlons taken to pmevcnt fuhtre releasers. <br />We will follow the reporting procedures described above if any of the following conditions occur, <br />> A recordable unauthorized release can not be claimed up or is still under investigation witain eight (8) bows of detection. <br />> Released hazardous substances an; discovered at the UST site or in the surrI ares: <br />> Unusual OPI conditions are cb m"W, including erratic behavior of product dispensing Oquipment, sudden loss of product, or rte tmecplained preserucc of <br />watts m the tank unless syst:rn equipment is found to be defective and is immediately repaired or replaced, and no leak has occurred; <br />> Monitoring results from UST system monitoring equipmentlmcthods indicate that a release trey have occurred, unless the monitoring 4*dpment is fond to be <br />defective and is immediately repaired, rcoali rated, or replaced, and additional monitoring does not confirm the initial results. <br />Record Retention: Monitoring records and written reports of ungutbori7M releases must be maintained on-site (or off site at a redly available location, if approved <br />by the local agency) for at lust 3 years.
