The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for JC AIR ACADEMY INC as of April 03, 2020. <br /> Open violations from July 15, 2019 inspection <br /> Violation#102-Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> According to Rodger Ainsworth, Maintenance Manager,drained oil filters, oily absorbent, and parts washer sludge <br /> are thrown away into the trash. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous <br /> waste. Immediately cease disposal of the oil filters, oily absorbent, and parts washer sludge, make a hazardous <br /> waste determination for the waste, and manage them according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a <br /> statement and supporting documentation explaining how these wastes will be managed. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#104-No modified contingency plan. <br /> OBSERVATION: A complete modified contingency plan was not posted at the facility. <br /> REGULATION: The business operator must post the following information next to telephones or in areas directly <br /> involved in the generation and accumulation of hazardous waste: the name and emergency telephone number of <br /> the emergency coordinator,the location of fire extinguishers and spill control material, and the telephone number of <br /> the fire department unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately post the required information at the facility.
