Taddei Road, Acampo <br />' Our File 53287-16866 <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll: <br /> As we have previously discussed, this letter shall consti- <br /> tute thy: quarterly report for Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lorz for the <br /> above-reference property (Site) for the quarter ending December <br /> 31 , 1992. As you know, Mr. and Mrs. Lorz (as past owners) and <br /> Mr. and Mrs . Ronald Conway (as current owners) have been named <br /> as responsible parties and are all. legally responsible for an <br /> environmental response to the release of petroleum from under- <br /> ground storage tanks which existed on the Site. The Conways <br /> have brought litigation against the Lorzs and the matter has <br /> not been resolved. <br /> As a former owner of the property and tanks., the Lorzs <br /> have submitted an application against the State Underground <br /> Storage Tank Clean Up Fund (Fund) administered by the State <br /> Water Resources Control Board. To preserve any right which the <br /> Lorz may have vis-a-vis the Fund, this quarterly report is <br /> submitted on behalf of. the Lorzs. If any environmental re- <br /> sponse has been initiated by the Conways, to date we have been <br /> provided with no such information. <br /> As stated in other correspondence to you, the Lorzs have <br /> substantially limited incomes . Thus , although the Lorzs ini- <br /> tially solicited bids , to date they have not retained any <br /> environmental consulting, engineering, or geological firm to <br /> conduct any site investigation or characterization.
