In addition to the site map submitted, submit details showing the
tank piping. Include both top view and cross sectional diagrams
of re:;excavation site, and include an estimate of soils to be
excavated.
i
2. Compute the enclosed "Authori;zation to Release Analytical Data" form
and return to this office.
3. Re--excavation workplans and/or; reports should follow the
guidelines "Subsurface Investigation Formats" (enclosed).
4. The plan indicates non-contaminated soil and contaminated soil are
to beNept separate. Include ':the method or methods utilized how
to make the decision for soil :segregation.
5. Estimate the amount of soil sampling locations on diagrams based
on the minimum of 2 samplings for every 50 cubic. yards of
excavated soil. Sampling points should be collected in areas to
best address the "zero-line" definition. (i. e. , bottom of"hole and
side-wall areas).
6. The soil results exhibiting high levels of lead (87 ppm) cannot be
aerated. Propose alternatives. for either resampling for
confirmation or removal as hazardous waste.
J
Administration Clinical Services Environmental Health ;Public Health Nursing
468-3400 468-3830 468-3420 468-3860
Air Pollution Community Services Laboratory WIC
468-3470468-3820 468-3460 468-3280
AIDS Information 468-3820
