A S
Chronology
Idlewild Market
:3049 West Hwy 12
Lodi CA 95242
Site Code: 1615
The site is located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Devries Road and Highway-12 in San
Joaquin County((Assessor's Parcel Number 025-•110-16). The site was most currently used as a market
and for boat/recreational vehicle rental storage. A total of 7 tanks were located on site, three of which
were used for pump priming. One of these priming pumps was not registered and was designated as
Tank#2A. The tanks were located in two areas, designated Pit 1 and Pit 2. All underground tanks were
removed with the exception of two which were closed in place. Tank#I failed a precision test on
1117/87 and was removed on 12/20/88 from Pit 1. During the 1991 attempt to remove the remaining soil .
contamination in Pit 1 and to remove Tank#2 in Pit 2, additional underground storage tanks were
identified. In 1993,the remaining tanks were either removed or closed in place and contaminated soil
was excavated. ',In 1995,the remaining contamination was defined and volume remaining was estimated
to comprise 3 cubic yards of contaminated soil. In 1997, PHS/EHD was notified that the site had been
paved to reduce infiltration as recommended by the professional geologist working on the site.
PHS/EHD recommends that the site be closed and no further remedial action be required, based on
available information and current land use.
1988
12/19/88 PHS/EHD approved the permit to remove underground storage tank(UST) #1615-01.
12/20/88 UST 91615-01 was removed without inspection.
12/21/88 A soil sample was collected at 6 feet below ground surface from beneath the former tank.
